TERMS AND CONDITIONS
Effective date: 13 September 2025
1) Who we are and what these Terms cover
These Terms and Conditions (the “Terms”) govern your use of the website uk.joinsermo.com (the “Site”). The Site is operated by an independent affiliate (the “Operator,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), whose purpose is to share information about the Sermo platform and facilitate referrals. We are not Sermo, do not operate Sermo’s services, and have no control over Sermo’s registration process, survey availability, payments, or eligibility rules.
These Terms incorporate by reference our [Disclaimer] and Privacy Policy, which form part of this agreement. If a conflict arises between these documents, the order of precedence is: (1) these Terms, (2) the Privacy Policy, and (3) the Disclaimer—except that the Disclaimer’s “no professional advice/no earnings guarantees” clauses always apply to content and claims appearing on the Site.
By using the Site, you accept and agree to be bound by these Terms.
2) Audience, eligibility, and accounts
The Site is intended for adults (18+) and primarily for healthcare professionals. The Site itself does not require you to create an account. Any registration, verification, or use of the Sermo platform is conducted directly with Sermo under Sermo’s terms and privacy notices. The Site is not intended for children under 13.
3) Informational purpose only; no professional advice
All content on the Site is provided for general information only. Nothing on the Site constitutes medical, legal, financial, tax, or immigration advice, nor is it a substitute for professional guidance from a qualified adviser. You are solely responsible for how you use any information presented.
4) Affiliate disclosure; no guarantees of income or survey access
We may earn a commission if you sign up for Sermo through referral links on the Site. We do not control the number, frequency, or compensation of surveys available to any individual. Outcomes vary and are not guaranteed. See the Disclaimer for additional details.
5) Content and intellectual property
Unless stated otherwise, all text, graphics, logos, and other materials on the Site are owned by us or licensed to us. Third‑party trademarks, logos, and referenced materials are the property of their respective owners and are used for identification or illustrative purposes only. You may view, link to, and share publicly available pages for non‑commercial purposes, provided you do not modify content or remove notices. Any other use (including reproduction, redistribution, scraping, automated harvesting, or framing) requires our prior written permission.
6) Third‑party websites and services
The Site includes links to third‑party websites and services (including Sermo). These are outside our control. We are not responsible for their content, policies, or practices and do not endorse them. You access third‑party sites at your own risk.
7) Acceptable use
You agree not to: (a) use the Site unlawfully; (b) attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Site or interfere with its operation; (c) use the Site to transmit harmful code, spam, or unsolicited communications; (d) copy, scrape, or harvest data from the Site except as permitted by applicable law; or (e) misrepresent your identity or affiliation.
8) Changes to the Site
We may update, suspend, or withdraw any part of the Site without notice. We endeavor to ensure information is accurate but do not guarantee completeness, reliability, or timeliness.
9) Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we exclude all warranties, representations, and conditions relating to the Site. We will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, punitive, or exemplary losses, nor for any loss of profits, revenue, data, or opportunities arising from or in connection with your use of the Site. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law. Your statutory rights as a consumer (if any) are not affected.
10) Changes to these Terms
We may revise these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we will post the updated Terms on the Site and update the effective date. Where feasible, we may also notify subscribers and commenters by email. Your continued use of the Site after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
11) Governing law and jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. If you are a consumer resident in the UK, you may bring proceedings in the courts of your place of residence. Otherwise, the courts of England and Wales shall have exclusive jurisdiction. Mandatory consumer protection laws of your local jurisdiction remain unaffected.
